・Fraudulent Emails Impersonating Our Company
We have confirmed that fraudulent emails have been sent to external parties using our company name, our corporate domain “maruhide.co.jp”, and the name of our company president.These emails were not sent by Maruhide Koki Co., Ltd. and are a form of email spoofing (impersonation fraud).
The sender information and email address have been falsified, and the emails request recipients to respond to a private Gmail address or to handle so-called “confidential projects.”
❗ Please be advised of the following:
- Maruhide Koki Co., Ltd. does not use private email accounts
(e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) for any business communication.
- All official communication is conducted only through our authorized
corporate email domain:@maruhide.co.jp
- We will never request confidential tasks, urgent financial matters,
or private correspondence through any non-corporate email address.
- Any email requesting communication with a private address such as: new.project.machine@gmail.com is unauthorized and fraudulent.
❗ If you receive a suspicious email:
- Do not reply.
- Do not click any links or open attachments.
- Verify the sender by contacting us through our official channels.
- Please forward a copy of the suspicious email
(including the full email header) to: info@maruhide.co.jp
We are currently strengthening our email security protocols, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication, to prevent unauthorized use of our domain. We are also working with our IT security partners to investigate and monitor this issue.
Please note that this incident is a case of impersonation, and the emails were created using publicly available information from our website. No internal data or confidential information has been leaked. We kindly ask for your understanding.
